Kingsized bandleader and actor Big Mike Geier commands the stage at 6’8”, his rich baritone effortlessly tackling music of any genre.
Geier has won Creative Loafing’s “Best of Atlanta” award several times over the years for his memorable performances at such
varied places as Montreux Jazz Fest, Music Midtown, Hands on Atlanta Day, The Candler Park Festival, The Butterfly Ball, Dames Aflame’s long-running “Showbiz What Sizzles”
and most notably, his consecutively sold-out concerts at the Variety Playhouse.
Geier’s talent goes beyond the stage and onto the screen with TV appearances on FOX, ABC, NBC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner South, MTV, Playboy TV and PBS,
his most recent screen credit for an uproarious and gutsy performance in the film “Good Intentions” starring Luke Perry and LeAnne Rimes.
"Seriously, is there a better musical entertainer in this city than Geier? I jotted that question in my notes under the influence of strong Mai Tais.
Even today, under sobriety's bright light, I still think there isn't."
